Are you a visualization and storytelling expert? Enter the Data Viz Competition and showcase your data-driven artistic skills while competing for top prizes!
Entries may be digital or physical, but must be mobile and displayable in an indoor space. All genders are encouraged to apply!
Entries of all mediums will be accepted. Example include, but are not limited to:
- Tableau Dashboards
- RShiny / RStudio based applications
- Maps, Graphs, Charts, Visuals, or Tools created via a software program (e.g. Adobe, Google, Excel)
- Physical / 3-D Visualizations (e.g. paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs)
- Virtual or Augmented Reality
- Other original ideas
Compete for Top Prizes
Top 10: Top ten submissions receive a free pass to attend the Women in Analytics Conference on June 3-5, 2020 in Columbus, OH! Visualizations will be posted on the Women in Analytics website and popular vote will determine the top five finalists.
Top 5: In addition to attending for free, top 5 finalists will have their accommodations covered for June 3rd and June 4th, 2020. Travel expenses will also be reimbursed for up to $400 domestic and up to $1000 international. On June 4th, 2020, the top five finalists will display in the Data Gallery and compete for top prizes!
Top 3: Popular vote decides which top three finalists will win top prizes and who will become the #WIADataVizChamp!

On Monday, January 13 the top ten submissions will be revealed and posted on our website. Check back and cast your vote to help us select the top five visualizations.
At WIA 2020, the popular vote will determine which top three finalists win cash prizes! Visit the Data Gallery at the conference to cast your vote live.
