Bio

Erin has a BA in History from Case Western Reserve University and her MS in Library and Information Science from Drexel University, where she was ultimately inspired to shift from a career in libraries to one focusing on data and analytics.

Erin has worked both in-house and at an agency with financial, product, web, marketing, public health, and sales data. Her favorite projects and causes to work on have been ones that make a positive difference for a community. She now focuses on supporting data analysts and analytics operations at Covetrus by developing resources for data literacy, visualization best practices, process management, and more, benefitting both analytics practitioners and business stakeholders.

Outside of the [home] office, Erin enjoys riding her bicycle to new playgrounds with young kids, trash-talking her way through a game of Mario Kart or trivia with her husband, or snuggling with their kitty, Pete, while starting a new crochet project (but definitely never finishing the last one).

Why is being a part of the WIA team important to you?

When I first joined WIA as a member, it was for entirely selfish reasons like connecting and networking, learning opportunities, etc. - which I still stick around for! But what ultimately led me to becoming involved with the WIA and DataConnect team is the incredible community created here. I love being able to give back to an organization that has given me so much, and to be a part of someone else's positive experience. The environment is welcoming, curious, kind, helpful, and never other-ing, and that is a space I not only want to be, but create for others!
